Wonderfalls - Season 1 Episode 2
Überblick: While working another shift, Jaye is approached by a young girl who, after an introduction, tells her that she stole her wallet. As she gives it back to her, Jaye notices that she has a stuttering problem and a stuffed chameleon tells her to "get her words out". This eventually leads to the girl - nicknamed Binky- getting a job at Wonderfalls, with Jaye as her mentor. Unfortunately, Binky starts to take the mentor idea too seriously and seemingly takes Jaye's identity: Her job, her friends, her family, her looks, and her personality. With the animals still telling her to "get her words out", Jaye decides to take matters into her own hands.

I didn’t see this show until after it had been cancelled, which apparently happened after just four shows were aired. I agree with TV Guide magazine which voted it as a show that shouldn’t have been cancelled. I bought the dvd containing 13 episodes once I learned it was available. The show is very imaginative and funny. The inanimate objects that talk to Jaye make rather odd suggestions that only make sense after a while. The quirky characters work for me, and mostly seem to play off each other well also. I can see where the inventiveness and originality of the show might have been difficult to maintain over time, but I sure wish they had gotten the opportunity to try.
